ORESA is the Oldham and Rochdale
Economic and Skills Alliance.
The Alliance was formed in response to the
challenges set by a spatial and economic
analysis. This showed that the underlying weakness in the economy of the
area needs long term and substantial
investment. Transformation is also needed in the skills of the workforce if the area is to weather the recession and take advantage of new opportunities’
The Board of ORESA is clear that the
Alliance should create a step change.
This means that this strategy concentrates on
those things that can transform the area and
which are additional to the extensive work
